On the 16th of November Searchlight in partnership with VERSA Studios held an event, focused on promoting production in the North, at the iconic ABC Roof Top Dome. The event kicked off with an insightful talk from RED’s Head of Production Mags Conway, who shared her decade of experience working in the North. Following Mags’ presentation, we hosted a stimulating panel discussion featuring industry experts who explored strategies for supercharging the North’s production potential. The panellists delved into topics such as attracting and retaining talent, securing funding, and leveraging the region’s unique strengths to establish a thriving production ecosystem.

We were also delighted to offer attendees an exclusive tour of VERSA Studios, showcasing the comprehensive production facilities, including the UK’s leading network TV, Film and Live Event Studios, galleries, green rooms, workshops, editing suites, and wider post-production resources. The tour provided a hands-on glimpse into the capabilities of VERSA Studios and their commitment to providing filmmakers with the tools and support they need to bring their creative vision to life.
